Dream Bike

The same night that Mari mentioned Josie's unnerving sleep-clapping incident (which I was not present for) I woke up as Josie was moving about a bit and making some noises as she slept between us.
Having been informed of the disturbing clapping habit I settled in and waited for something amusing to happen. And I was not disappointed.

Josie, like her mother, is always hot and takes every opportunity to strip off all her clothes and parade around naked. In terms of sleeping this translates to constantly throwing the covers off (both herself and us when she is in with us) and sleeping on top of them. Usually she will kick her legs out in an effort to get the sheets off. This night however, she had earlier been riding her new bike (thanks Martin) around outside with mummy and the kicking seemed to lead her into a riding dream as she went from laying on her back, kicking at the covers and rubbing her eyes (which she does habitually when she is having trouble sleeping) to holding her hands just in front of her chest and running her feet in increasingly rapid circles above her just like she was speeding down the drive on her bike. This went on for about 10 seconds and got to such a pace that I thought for sure she was going to knee herself in the face before she slumped back, apparently exhausted by her dream bike ride, with a look of quiet contentment on her angelic little face.

It was the funniest thing I have seen baring the tallest-tree-in-the-forest impression her mother does immediately before falling on her face.
