Weekend Busyness!

We had a jam packed weekend!

Firstly our close friends and god daughter were visiting from QLD which was great. Josie and Jessica had a great time together!

On Saturday we had a picnic with a big bunch of friends. Josie, Jess and Josh became known as Triple J ! It was so gorgeous watching all the kids together! Josie and Jess were so good with Josh!

Although at one point Josie had him on her lap and then let go and the poor bubby fell forward onto his face! But he got over it pretty quick and went back to being absolutely adorable!

The girls played on the playground equipment and had fun climbing trees! Josie at one stage fell off the equipment as she tried to slide down a pole, but she was ok after a short cry.

The BBQ was lovely, aside from the fact that only one half of the BBQ closest to us worked and that half was being used by a large group who frustratingly hogged the thing for over TWO HOURS! The boys stood waiting for it until they had enough and they told them off and went to find another BBQ. It was highly un-Australian of them. They may have had a large group, but to hog a BBQ for over two hours on a gorgeous sunny winter day when the park was just packed with people was rude and obnoxious.

After the picnic Uncle Mat came over and we all played 80's Name That Tune when the girls went to bed. It was so much fun, although I really suck at 80's music!

On Sunday morning we had a birthday party to go to and Billy & Sam had a family lunch to go to, so we all said our goodbyes. It was lovely seeing them again and we hope they visit more often!

So off we went to Tessa's 4th birthday which was fairy themed. They had a purple fairy (with an abundance of very adult tatoos!!) who made balloon animals and lead the kids in all sorts of games. Rachel was there of course, and Josie and she, and another friend Miriam had a lovely time together.

After the party, we had already decided to take Josie to see Curious George at Eastgardens, so I invited Michelle & Rachel along, and luckily they were already going to Easties so we decided to meet there.

At Easties we played in the indoor playground for a couple of hours and had some lunch, and then while Michelle went shopping with her Aunt and Uncle who was visiting them, Sam, Rachel, Tony, Josie and I went to see Curious George.

The girls loved the movie, and especially loved the thought of going to the movies together. They were on their best behaviour, which is more than I can say for their fathers, who threw popcorn at me!

And lastly, I had to share this photo of Josie on the way to school with just far too many Wowos! For those who dont know Wowo, Wowo is a little white dog that Josie has loved since she was a baby. Wowo was her transition toy, and luckily he is readily available in any Target/KMart/Coles for a few dollars so we have quite a few of him at various Grandmothers/Uncles/Aunts places as well as in both cars and all over the home! Every now and then they start accumulating in one place, this time being my backseat! Talk about drowning in Wowos!

TWO Weeks till take off !!!

Re photo of Josie and Rachel hugging
Josie must have learnt the "strangle-hold bear hug" from her cousin Jayden ;-)
